Multiplier Event Report

30th October 2018, Budapest, Hungary. Hosted by and post written by Rogers.

We have organised our CAPS Multiplier Event for 36 people at the ELTE University, Faculty of Primary and Pre-School Education in Budapest on the 30.10.2018 between 10 am and 2 pm. The topic we have worked with was the CAPS – Children Access to Play in Schools project’s Play friendly School Quality Criteria System. We have started with an overall lecture about play, and the importance of play. For getting people in the right mind-set, we have asked visitors to imagine their own childhood play memories and share it with the others. Then we moved forward and talked about our experiences about the study visit in England – we have asked two of the Hungarian participants of the Study visit to share what they have learned there and their own perspective. Before the lunch break we introduced our National Adaptation Plan: how we are going to implement our play strategy both on a local and national level.

After the break we have discussed the QCS with our participants through a World Cafe. Participants were divided into 5 groups and they all got 10-15 minutes to discuss each criterion. After that the persons who were responsible at the tables are made a short summary about the ideas, issues.
